Rise beyond the ride.

Women Who Rise

Women Who Rise is an invitation to set out on a journey. To discover new paths. To take on challenges. And to experience just how much is possible when women ride together. Not every challenge begins with a starting gun. Sometimes it begins with a simple decision: to set off.

Why Women Who Rise?

Women Who Rise was launched to inspire women to embrace bikepacking, adventure, and shared experiences on two wheels. Because adventure doesn’t have to mean being on the road for weeks or riding hundreds of kilometers every day.

Sometimes all it takes is a night under the stars, a new route right outside your front door, or the courage to try something you didn’t think you were capable of before.

It’s not about how far or how fast you ride. It’s about the experience, the freedom, and the confidence in your own strength.

The route of our kickoff event in July 2026 combines nature, challenge, and community. It invites you to experience exactly that for yourself.

Follow in the footsteps of the participants, discover the highlights of the route, and ride it at your own pace…

What to Expect Along the Way

Nature, open spaces, and gravel beneath your tires. Climbs that challenge you. Views that reward you. Moments that bring you closer. A route that lures you out of your comfort zone, pushes you to your limits, and shows you just how much you’re capable of.

Voices of Women Who Rise

My wish is for Women Who Rise to become more than just an event. I hope it grows into a movement that brings women together, builds confidence, and shows what’s possible when we have the courage to simply get out and ride.

20 different women, 20 different fitness levels and levels of cycling experience—it could have been a total disaster, but instead we supported each other, waited for one another, and had a really great time!

We shared meals, grueling climbs, nights in tents, and countless conversations—and found something that went far beyond a bike ride: community.

My favorite way to push past my own limits—or what I’d previously thought were my limits—is to just do it and take the plunge. “Women Who Rise” was an incredibly wonderful space for exactly that. What has since become familiar to me seemed almost out of reach for others at first. That made it all the more wonderful to bring this little adventure to life together.

20 women who didn’t know each other, with different backgrounds, not only came together as a supportive group—they surpassed their own limits!
The momentum I’m taking away from this weekend will carry me a long way. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped encourage us to step out of our comfort zones more often—because that’s exactly where the memories that will stay with us for a long time begin.

The weekend pushed me to my limits, but it also helped me grow beyond them! I’m really happy that I had the courage to step so far out of my comfort zone and have this experience! The memories of this special weekend—with the incredible sense of camaraderie among all the participants—will stay with me for a long time.

I was a bit daunted by the elevation gain and the idea of spending an entire weekend on the road with so many women I hadn’t met before. Looking back, that was actually one of the best parts: the conversations while climbing, being out there together, and realizing just how much the body can accomplish through sheer muscle power alone. The weekend not only made me want to do more bikepacking, but also to just hop on my bike alone more often.

IlmaParticipant

For me, Women Who Rise was the perfect opportunity to dip my toes into gravel bike packing and not have to go on my first tour alone. Since the other women all had different levels of bike-packing experience, we were able to support one another and learn from the riders with more bike-packing experience. Overall, it was a great chance to connect with other women who share similar interests, and the Taunus region’s scenery was the perfect finishing touch to the weekend.
